Night Shift Maintenance Engineer

WineWorks is New Zealand’s leading contract wine bottling organisation. At our Auckland plant, we are looking for an experienced Night Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our dedicated team.

About the Role

This role will operate on our Night Shift Sunday to Thursday (10pm to 6:30am) with overtime as required to carry out repairs and planned maintenance.

As part of a small, supportive engineering team, you will:

• Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and continuous improvement projects.
• Participate in CAPEX projects and assist with installations and modifications.
• Work collaboratively with production teams and contractors.
• Champion health & safety, and sustainability initiatives.

Skills & Experience

• Trade-certified engineer with 3+ years’ experience in maintenance/engineering.
• Hands-on experience in FMCG manufacturing or food/beverage packaging.
• Knowledge of mechanical maintenance; electrical registration or willingness to obtain is an advantage.
• Familiarity with CMMS software and basic computer skills.
• PLC fault-finding or programming skills desirable.
• Experience Working Night Shift
• Be a New Zealand Citizen or Resident.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test.
